  1. This is xfractint 1.06 
  2.  
  3. It was compiled with gcc.2.2.2d jump 4.1 and X11 2.0
  4. put fractint.hlp in /usr/local/lib/  and also put the                    
  5. the rest of the files there as well (I think).  The
  6. install process of the makefile only installed xfractint
  7. and fractint.hlp.  However, I know the fractint (DOS version)
  8. uses these *.map files, so I assumed they should go in               
  9. /usr/local/lib as well.

  11. Do not run this process in the background.  xfractint takes over 
  12. a xterm for its control menus.  It does, however, create a xfractint 
  13. window exclusivly for the fractal drawings.
